Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles Co is planning to set up a sixth production line with the capacity to produce an additional 3.5mn sq m of tiles per year.
This is in addition to the ongoing expansion of a fifth production line.
The company's board of directors has approved the plan for a sixth production line which is subject to the allotment of natural gas from the Oman government.
Speaking to Muscat Daily, A Suresh, chief financial officer of Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles, said the capacity of the proposed sixth production line will be 3.5mn sq m and will involve an investment of little over RO5mn.

“We have already penetrated the Iraq and Jordan markets and are slowly entering other markets in the MENA region as there is good demand there,” added Suresh.
